A brief history...
The Air Training Corps (ATC) was established in New Zealand in 1941 as preparations to aid the war in Europe were in full swing. Thousands of young New Zealanders served in the ATC; such service being a stepping stone to enlistment in the Royal New Zealand Air Force. Today the ATC is part of the NZCF and is run in a partnership between the Ministry of Defence and community support organisations. |
